Welcome to the History of the White Knight Road Club

Two former RaceScene riders, Pete Hinchliffe and Danny McClusky formed White Knight RC in May 2005. They rode the remainder of 2005 for RaceScene but spent their free time busily working to make White Knight RC a success.

Their main aim for the club was to support the interests of racing cyclists and aid in the development of the sport.

The biggest hurdle they had in setting up the club was the design and production of a club kit. Many hours were spent making sketches and looking at other kits for inspiration. Fortunately they had some first class assistance from their friends Colin Clifford, Gemma Southwick and Dean Arey. Once the final draft had been settled upon, the next job was to find a manufacturer willing to produce a kit in relatively small numbers. After contacting several UK based firms they eventually decided to use Fernando Carvalho in Portugal.

The final piece of the puzzle was to attract members who shared their love of the sport and wanted to be part of a club that treated everyone equally, regardless of their ability level.
